SUNSATION™ –
Hybrid collector with Boost4Heat technology
Hybrid technology multiplies efficiency from just under 20 % to over 80 % by combining photovoltaics and solar thermal in one collector.
In this way, the effective solar yield on the available roof area can be more than tripled compared to conventional photovoltaic modules. This synergy effect offers a great advantage in terms of the degree of sustainable energy supply, especially for buildings in densely built-up areas. PVT collectors turn your building into a home power plant and save not only electricity costs but also heating costs at the same time, thus significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
When used as an additional heat source with our MAXIMUS EARTH water/brine heat pumps, our PVT collectors are subsidized by the government with up to 70 % of the purchase cost!
All advantages at a glance
Simultaneous generation of electricity and heat
Simultaneous, emission-free generation of electricity and heat with one module, sustainably reduces your electricity and heating costs with the natural power of the sun.
Up to 20% more power yield
Cooling of the modules and recovery of waste heat by means of warm water through an innovative and unique heat exchanger
High state subsidies of up to 70 %
When used as an additional heat source in combination with our MAXIMUS EARH water/brine heat pumps, our PVT collectors are subsidized at the same subsidy rate as our heat pumps

Latest photovoltaic technology
- N-Type Cells – Top Performance Thanks to State-of-the-Art Cell Technology
In N-type cells, the base layer is doped with phosphorus. This has one electron more than silicon, and this doping generates free electrons. The higher efficiency of N-type cells results from the free electrons. - SELF-C nanotechnology – module with self-cleaning surface
What falls under the term nanotechnology is determined solely by the size of the materials being studied or used. The term covers all technologies that take place on a scale of typically less than 100 nanometers (billionths of a meter) to the size of an atom. - Technology HALF-CUT – Higher efficiency
PV modules with half-cell technology have a lower cell resistance and thus a higher output than standard modules. If you halve the size of solar cells, their efficiency increases This effect was discovered by Fraunhofer researchers in Halle back in 2014. - Reduced HOT SPOT – minimizing losses
The hot spot effect occurs when a solar module is shaded and the current cannot flow around weak cells. The internal resistance of the affected cells increases. - MULTI BUSBAR – Even more reliability
The multi-busbar technology (MBB) has a higher number of busbars. Usually 12 or 16 per solar cell. This has the great advantage that current is better transmitted within the cell. In addition, the efficiency of the cell decreases significantly slower, since the “current load” is distributed over several shoulders. - PID free – Higher resistance to potential degradation
Potentially induced degradation (PID) is an effect that leads to a loss of power and, in severe cases, even a loss of function of a PV module. It occurs in many silicon photovoltaic modules when they are in the field. Modules manufactured with PID-free EVA and PID-free cells are considered PID-resistant modules.
